This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

I brought my 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander to AAMCO for suspension repairs, including control arms and sway bar links. They diagnosed the problem quickly, explained everything clearly, and the vehicle now rides quietly and handles much better. Great experience from start to finish.

Had my car for over a week 4500 dollars later we get it back with busted exhaust, missing radiator overflow, missing battery cover, temp light on and some other things. Brought it back had to wait all day for it to get it back than the district manger lied to my wife about being able to get her a ride back up to pick it up. We get the car there are kinkes hoses and the the temp light is still on. It is incredible that businesses try and get away with this.

I really didn't want to do this. The guys that work there were very courteous but I, for the life of me, don't know what they are doing. I asked for my transmission to be looked at because my car was jerking and failing to accelerate when the weather turned hot and humid. I knew there were other issues but this was the one that needed to be taken care of. They did plenty of work that cost me over $1700 (muffler and some other smaller issues) but the jerking problem remained. I brought it back again. They did a second smoke test and replaced the same part they already replaced. Mind you, they were so preoccupied with an EVAP leak sensor that the transmission was never addressed. Finally, I brought the car to the dealer and the problem was...the TRANSMISSION. It also needed a new fuel pump. The repair bill for that was over $9000, so I decided to just get another car. The $1700 would have been a nice chunk toward the down payment but that went, instead, toward a bunch of unnecessary repairs on a car I no longer have. You can't call transmissions your specialty when you can't diagnose that there is something wrong with a transmission, even when a novice like me is telling you.

Charles was so personable, professional and knowledgable. He went above and beyond to explain everything being done with the vehicle - was patient and respectful. He made me feel valued as a customer. I would highly recommend the Aamco in Lisle for any future service.

I love this mechanic shop!! They are very honest! Charles is spectacular at showing you the parts on your vehicle or with a model. I had extensive work done almost 6 months ago and I haven’t had a single problem. They even did a follow up inspection of the repair a month later. Today I took my vehicle in for brake pads because the oil change place said they needed to be replaced. Nope. Charles and the crew took all the tires off and showed me I had 80% left. I had years of driving before they would need to be changed. Thank you for saving me $400 and unnecessary repairs!! I cannot recommend this place enough!!
